How Pricing Works

EZPsych uses a prepaid credit system. You purchase credits, then spend them to run experiments. There are no subscriptions, no hidden fees, and no minimum commitments.

Credit Rate

1 USD = 10,000 credits

Credits are purchased via our payment partner Paddle. All applicable taxes are handled by Paddle at checkout.

What Determines Experiment Cost

The cost of an experiment depends on:

• LLM model — different models have different per-token prices
• Sample size — more personas = more LLM calls
• Number of questions — each question requires one LLM call per persona
• Question-order monitoring — if enabled, adds 4 additional strategy runs
• Text scoring — text-type questions with rubric scoring require additional LLM calls

Before you start an experiment, the system displays a cost estimate. This estimate includes a 2x service markup and a 1.2x safety margin. You are billed in real time based on actual usage, and any unused frozen credits are returned after the experiment completes.

Billing Details

• Credits are frozen (reserved) when an experiment starts, based on the cost estimate.
• As the experiment runs, credits are deducted in real time based on actual LLM API costs × 2.
• When the experiment completes, any remaining frozen credits are released back to your available balance.
• You only pay for what you actually use — the estimate is an upper bound, not the final charge.

Refunds

We offer a 14-day refund window from the date of each credit purchase. You can request a refund for your unused credits at any time within this period. The refund amount is calculated proportionally based on how many credits remain unused. See our Terms of Service for full details.

Payment Processing

All payments are securely processed by Paddle.com Market Limited, our Merchant of Record. Paddle handles billing, tax collection, invoicing, and compliance on our behalf.
