1. Service Description
EZPsych Preliminary Experiment ("the Service") is a web-based platform for conducting questionnaire pilot studies using Large Language Models (LLMs). Users upload Excel workbooks, the Service generates simulated survey responses, and delivers structured results for research purposes.
2. Account & Eligibility
By creating an account you confirm that you are at least 18 years of age or have the legal capacity to enter into this agreement. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials. Each account is for a single user; sharing accounts is prohibited.
3. Credits & Pricing
- The Service operates on a prepaid credit system (1 USD = 10,000 credits). You must purchase credits before running experiments. For full pricing details, see our Pricing page.
- Credit prices are displayed at the time of purchase and may be adjusted without prior notice. Purchased credits are valid indefinitely unless your account is terminated.
- Before each experiment run, the system estimates the required credits and freezes (reserves) them from your balance. Credits are then deducted in real time based on actual API usage. When the experiment completes, any unused frozen credits are automatically released back to your available balance.
- If the experiment fails due to a system error, all frozen credits are automatically released back to your account.
4. Refund Policy
- 14-day refund window: You may request a refund within 14 days of each credit purchase. The refund amount equals the value of your unused credits at the time of the request. Credits that have already been consumed by completed experiments are non-refundable, as the underlying API costs have already been incurred.
- Refund calculation: Refund amount = (unused credits at time of request ÷ total credits from that purchase) × original purchase amount. For example, if you purchased $10.00 of credits and used 40%, you will receive a $6.00 refund for the remaining 60%.
- How to request a refund: Use the "Request Refund" option in your account, or contact us via the support channel with your transaction details. Refunds are processed through Paddle within 5–10 business days and returned to your original payment method.
- System errors: If an experiment fails due to a platform or infrastructure error, all frozen credits are automatically released back to your account immediately. No action is needed from you.
- After 14 days: Refund requests made after the 14-day window will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. We may still issue a partial refund for unused credits at our discretion.
5. Payment Processing
This Service is operated by 沈阳旦暮学境文化传媒科技有限公司 (Shenyang Danmu Xuejing Culture Media Technology Co., Ltd.).
All payments are processed by Paddle.com Market Limited as our Merchant of Record. Paddle handles all billing, tax collection, invoicing, and compliance on our behalf. By purchasing credits you also agree to Paddle's Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
6. Data & Privacy
- Uploaded workbooks and experiment results are stored on our servers and are accessible only to the account owner.
- We do not share, sell, or use your uploaded data for any purpose other than running the requested experiments.
- Experiment data (uploaded workbooks and result files) is retained for a maximum of 90 days (3 months) after the experiment completes. After this period, the data will be automatically deleted from our servers. Please download your results promptly.
- LLM API calls are made to third-party providers (e.g., OpenRouter, OpenAI). Prompt content is sent to these providers to generate responses. Please do not include personally identifiable information (PII) in your workbooks.
7. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use the Service to:
- Upload content that is illegal, harmful, or violates third-party rights.
- Attempt to bypass rate limits, credit checks, or security controls.
- Reverse-engineer, scrape, or redistribute the Service.
- Impersonate another user or misrepresent your identity.
8. Limitation of Liability
The Service is provided "as is" without warranty. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of the Service, including but not limited to: inaccurate LLM responses, data loss, or service interruptions. Our total liability is limited to the amount of credits you have purchased in the preceding 12 months.
9. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. Upon termination, any remaining credits are forfeited. You may delete your account at any time by contacting support.
10. Changes to Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or a notice on the platform. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
